Claudia Bertramsen, M.A.
Licensed Psychologist

Claudia Bertramsen is a licensed psychologist specializing in adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and current or past trauma. She also includes grief and loss, relationship issues, and life transitions in her areas of expertise.

Claudia received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Minnesota and her Masters of Arts degree in Psychology from Antioch University in Seattle, Washington.
Her background includes both inpatient and outpatient mental health experience. She has been licensed and practicing psychology as an outpatient therapist since 1983.

Claudia’s primary focus with clients is assisting them in exploring, identifying, and strengthening their own inner resources, as well as utilizing their external resources. She works to provide a safe environment to explore the emotional, spiritual, and psychological aspects of the client’s life experience. Her approach is mindfulness based, supportive and interactive, utilizing relaxation skills and guided visualization.

Claudia is a trained EMDR clinician. When appropriate and with the client’s permission, she utilizes EMDR to treat posttraumatic stress disorder, as well as grief and loss, anxiety and depression. More information on EMDR can be obtained on www.emdr.com or www.emdr-therapy.com.
